The friends of Lydney C of E School is a voluntary group of parents and staff who exist mainly to raise funds for "extras" not met by the school budget but which enhance the school experience for the children. Over the years we have raised money for all sorts of sporting, computer and musical equipment. Last winter, we largely funded a lovely panto trip for the juniors and paid for a school banner which can be used at a variety of events. When new children start in reception they are offered a great little book-bag as a gift and they are popular with kids and parents alike. With the school developing its new library facility, we have recently made a large donation to help to make it a brilliant learning resource for our children.

To do these things, of course, we need your help and support to raise the money. Naturally,you would be welcome to join The Friends, or simply come along and support the things we organise. Look at minutes from our meetings to keep an eye on what we do and when we are next meeting. We'd love to see you!
